Steven Charles Bergwijn (born 8 October 1997) is a professional footballer from the Netherlands. He plays as a left winger or a forward. Currently, he plays for Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad.

Club Career Highlights
Steven Bergwijn was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands. His parents are from Suriname. He started playing football at a young age.
Starting at PSV

Steven began his football journey in the Ajax youth academy. He played there until 2011. After a disagreement with a coach, he decided to leave. Soon after, PSV signed him.
He made his first team debut for Jong PSV in August 2014. This was in the second division of Dutch football. He came on as a substitute in a 2–0 win. Later, he helped PSV win the 2017–18 Eredivisie title. He scored the third goal in a 3–0 victory against Ajax.
Playing for Tottenham Hotspur
In January 2020, Steven Bergwijn moved to England. He signed a five-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur. He scored his first goal for the club in his very first game. This was a 2–0 win against Manchester City. He was even named Man of the Match!
In March 2020, he hurt his left ankle. This injury could have ended his season. However, the COVID-19 pandemic caused a break in the league. This gave him time to recover. He returned to play and scored against Manchester United. In January 2022, he scored two goals in injury time. This helped Spurs win 3–2 against Leicester City.
Returning to Ajax
In July 2022, Steven returned to the Netherlands. He signed a five-year contract with Ajax. His transfer fee was a record for the Eredivisie. It was the most expensive transfer in the league's history. On August 14, 2022, he scored three goals in a 6–1 win against Groningen. In August 2023, Ajax announced him as their new team captain.
Moving to Al-Ittihad
In September 2024, Steven Bergwijn made another big move. He signed a three-year contract with Al-Ittihad. This club plays in Saudi Arabia.
International Career
Steven Bergwijn first joined the Netherlands senior squad in October 2018. Ronald Koeman was the coach who called him up. He played his first international game on October 13, 2018. It was a 3–0 win against Germany.
He was chosen to play for the Netherlands in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He also joined the squad for UEFA Euro 2024. However, in September 2024, coach Ronald Koeman said Steven would no longer be called up. This was because of his move to Saudi Arabia.
