Sugarloaf is a mountain peak in west Wicklow, Ireland. It stands at 552 meters (1,811 feet) tall. This peak is located on the northern edge of an area called the Glen of Imaal.
Even though it's a mountain, Sugarloaf is not considered one of Ireland's main mountains. This is because it only rises 14 meters (46 feet) from the land around its base. It's actually a smaller part of a bigger mountain called Lobawn, which is 636 meters (2,087 feet) tall and lies to the north.
It's important not to confuse this Sugarloaf with two other famous mountains in the same area. These are the Great Sugar Loaf, which is 501 meters (1,644 feet) tall, and the Little Sugar Loaf, at 342 meters (1,122 feet) tall. Both of these are found in the northeastern part of the Wicklow Mountains.
