Sunset is a census-designated place (CDP) in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. The population was 15,912 at the 2020 census. The U.S. Postal Service uses the ZIP Codes of 33173 and 33183 for Sunset.

Geography

The community is located 11 miles (18 km) southwest of downtown Miami at 25°42′21″N 80°21′23″W / 25.70583°N 80.35639°W / 25.70583; -80.35639 (25.705820, -80.356296). It is bordered by the communities of Kendale Lakes, Westwood Lakes, Olympia Heights, Glenvar Heights, and Kendall.
