Super Kirby Clash is an exciting free-to-play action role-playing game for the Nintendo Switch. It was created by HAL Laboratory and Vanpool, and Nintendo published it. This game is part of the popular Kirby series. In Super Kirby Clash, you control Kirby and his friends as they battle many different enemies to complete quests. The game first came out on September 4, 2019. It's a follow-up to Team Kirby Clash Deluxe from the Nintendo 3DS.
How to Play Super Kirby Clash
Super Kirby Clash is an action role-playing game where you lead a team of four Kirbys. One Kirby is yours to control. The others can be controlled by the computer or by your friends playing with you. Your main goal is to complete quests by fighting various enemies.
Before each quest, you choose a special role for your Kirby. These roles let your Kirby use a sword, a powerful hammer, magic spells to attack, or even healing powers to help the team. You also pick out a weapon and a suit of armor for your Kirby. After getting ready, you check the notice board to start your next adventure!
Every time you finish a quest, whether you win or lose, your team earns experience. This experience helps your Kirbys level up, making them stronger and boosting their abilities. Each quest also uses up some "Vigor." Vigor recharges over time, so if you run out, you'll need to wait a bit before starting another quest.
Between quests, you visit a friendly town. This town is like your home base in the game. Here, you can buy new equipment to make your Kirbys even tougher. You can also choose which quest to take on next. The game uses a special currency called Gem Apples. You can earn Gem Apples by playing the game, or you can choose to buy them if you want to get new items faster. Gem Apples help you unlock new quests and get cool gear.
The Story of Super Kirby Clash
The story of Super Kirby Clash begins when many scary monsters appear and threaten the land. To protect everyone, Kirby gathers a brave group of other Kirbys, forming "Team Kirby." Their mission is to stop this monster threat.
Team Kirby travels through the land, defeating monsters as they go. Eventually, they discover the one behind all the trouble: Parallel Nightmare. After a big battle, Team Kirby defeats him, but he manages to escape to a place called the Empyrean.
Team Kirby follows Parallel Nightmare to the Empyrean, fighting more monsters along the way. When they arrive, they think they've found Parallel Nightmare and fight him again. But after the battle, they realize it wasn't Parallel Nightmare at all! It was actually Taranza. Team Kirby then moves to the Decisive Battlefield, where they finally face Parallel Nightmare once more. Just as they prepare to fight, Parallel Nightmare summons a powerful foe, King D-Mind. Surprisingly, King D-Mind turns on Parallel Nightmare, throwing him aside before Team Kirby defeats King D-Mind.
It seems like peace has returned, but then the monsters come back, even stronger than before! Team Kirby continues their fight and soon learns that Parallel Nightmare survived. They chase him to another mysterious place called the Dreamscape and defeat him again. But Parallel Nightmare has one last trick: he summons a mighty warrior known as Aeon Hero. Aeon Hero defeats Parallel Nightmare himself, then challenges Team Kirby. After a final epic battle, Team Kirby defeats Aeon Hero, bringing true peace back to the land.
Making and Launching Super Kirby Clash
Super Kirby Clash is a follow-up game to Team Kirby Clash Deluxe. That game was an expanded version of a mini-game. It was called Team Kirby Clash and came from Kirby: Planet Robobot. The developers, HAL Laboratory, worked with their partner Vanpool. Together, they created Super Kirby Clash. They used the same game engine that powered Kirby Star Allies.
Many familiar enemies from past Kirby games appeared in Super Kirby Clash. For some of these enemies, this was their first time appearing in high-definition graphics! The game also introduced different versions of some enemies. For example, there was a special version of Gigant Edge that had a flaming sword, making battles even more exciting.
Super Kirby Clash was first announced during a special Nintendo Direct presentation on September 4, 2019. It was a surprise release, launching on the very same day! Later that month, Nintendo held a special event in the game Tetris 99 that was themed around Super Kirby Clash. Players who earned enough points in Tetris 99 received a Kirby-themed background for that game and ninety-nine Gem Apples for Super Kirby Clash. By December 2019, the game had been downloaded four million times! To celebrate this milestone, HAL Laboratory offered a temporary twenty-percent discount on Gem Apples in the game.
