Surcuolm is a small village in Switzerland. It is located in the Graubünden canton, which is like a state. In 2009, Surcuolm joined with another village called Flond to create a new, larger municipality named Mundaun. A municipality is a local government area.

Surcuolm was first written about in the 1700s. Its official name back then was Neukirch. This name was used until 1943.

Surcuolm covers an area of about 6.5 square kilometers (2.5 square miles). A large part of this land, about 67%, is used for farming. Forests cover about 21% of the area. Buildings and roads take up about 3.7% of the land. The remaining 7.5% is made up of rivers, glaciers, or mountains.
The village is found on a high area called the Obersaxen plateau. It started as many scattered farmhouses and small groups of homes, rather than one big village. Most people in Surcuolm spoke the Romansh language. They were also Roman Catholic. This was different from nearby villages like Flond and Luven. Before 1943, Surcuolm was known as Neukirch bei Ilanz.
