Taha Shah Badussha (born on November 19, 1987) is an Indian actor. He is known for his work in Hindi movies. He first appeared in the romantic comedy Luv Ka The End in 2011. Later, he was seen in the comedy-drama Gippi in 2013. In 2024, Taha Shah became very well-known for his role in the Netflix series Heeramandi.

Early Life and Journey

Taha Shah was born in Abu Dhabi, which is in the United Arab Emirates. His parents are from India. His father, Shah Sikkander Badusha, is a doctor who specializes in bones and joints. He is from Tamil Nadu, India. Taha's mother, Mahnaz Sikkander Badusha, was a scientist who studied living things. She was from Karnataka, India. Taha also has an older brother named Abid.

Taha went to school in two different countries. He started at Sherwood Academy in Abu Dhabi. Then he went to Kodaikanal International School in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu. He also studied at the International School of Choueifat and Sharjah American International School. After school, Taha started a business program at the American University of Sharjah. However, he later decided to leave the program. Before becoming an actor, Taha was involved in different businesses.

Acting Career

In 2009, Taha visited his brother in Toronto, Canada. It was during this trip that he decided he wanted to become an actor. He then joined the New York Film Academy (NYFA) in Abu Dhabi. Taha had already started learning acting while he was studying in Abu Dhabi.

After six months at NYFA, Taha was planning to go to Los Angeles to finish his course. But his father thought he should go to Mumbai, India, first. His mother agreed, and in September 2009, Taha went to Mumbai for a short visit with his family. They ended up staying there. In Mumbai, he spent a lot of time practicing dancing and martial arts.

Nine months later, Taha got his first movie role in Luv Ka The End, made by Y-Films. He played a character who was a bit of a villain, which was new for movies aimed at young people. In 2013, he appeared in his second movie, Gippi, from Dharma Productions. This movie came out on May 10, 2013. Taha received good reviews for his acting. Famous director Karan Johar said that Taha has a strong presence on screen.

In 2015, Taha acted in Barkhaa with Pakistani actress Sara Loren. The movie was not a big success, but its songs were popular. In 2016, he was in Karan Johar's Baar Baar Dekho alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif. He played the role of Tarun. In 2017, Shah acted in Ranchi Diaries. In 2020, he made his first Hollywood movie, Draupadi Unleashed, where he played Gautam. In 2021, he appeared in the web series Bullets and Bekaboo 2.

Taha Shah also started singing. He released his first song, "Vande Mataram," in 2022. In 2024, Taha played the important role of Tajdar in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Netflix series Heeramandi. This role brought him a lot of attention and praise.
