TAG Group (Holdings) S.A. is a private company based in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. The name 'TAG' stands for Techniques d'Avant Garde, which means "advanced techniques" in French. This company earns money through its different businesses. These businesses offer products and services in areas like private planes (aviation), car racing (motorsports), hotels, and real estate.

History of TAG Group

TAG Group was started in 1977 by Akram Ojjeh. For many years, his son, Mansour Ojjeh, was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) until his death.

In 1985, TAG Group bought a famous Swiss company that made watches, called Heuer. TAG Group then combined the names to create the well-known brand TAG Heuer. Under TAG Group's ownership, TAG Heuer made its watches more modern and sold many more around the world. In 1999, a large company called LVMH bought the TAG Heuer business for about US$740 million. Today, TAG Group mainly holds shares in two big companies: TAG Aviation and McLaren Group.

In 1983, Mansour Ojjeh met with McLaren team boss Ron Dennis. Instead of just a sponsorship, Ojjeh was offered a chance to own part of McLaren. He agreed, and the relationship with McLaren continues today. TAG Group currently owns 14% of McLaren Group. This means TAG also has a share in McLaren Group's other companies, like McLaren Racing (the F1 team) and McLaren Automotive (which makes sports cars).

TAG Group also has interests in other areas. These include advanced technology, real estate, and consumer products.
