The Book of Pooh: Stories from the Heart is a fun movie from 2001. It was made directly for video, meaning it wasn't shown in cinemas first. This film is based on the The Book of Pooh TV show from Playhouse Disney.

The movie brings together six different episodes from the TV series. Each episode focuses on one of your favorite characters. The story of the movie connects these episodes. It shows the characters waiting in Christopher Robin's room for him to arrive. Just like in the TV show, each episode in the movie has a new song.

Shadow Projects produced this film. Walt Disney Home Entertainment released it on VHS and DVD on July 17, 2001.

What the Movie is About

The story begins when Pooh, Piglet, and Tigger magically pop out of the Book of Pooh. They find themselves in Christopher Robin's room. But Christopher Robin isn't there!

Tigger decides to look for Christopher's journal. He hopes it will tell them where Christopher has gone. But Tigger makes a big mess while searching. As they try to clean up, Piglet notices something special. Christopher Robin had marked some chapters in the Book of Pooh. Each mark had a picture of one of his friends.

As the story continues, more friends arrive. Rabbit, Kessie, and Eeyore all show up. At one point, they have to hide quickly. Christopher Robin's mom comes upstairs because she hears their voices. She thinks it's her son.

One by one, the characters ask Mr. Narrator to read stories from the book. These stories are the episodes included in the movie:

  • Over the Hill (Pooh's Story)
  • Tigger's Replacement (Piglet's Story)
  • Kessie Wises Up (Kessie's Story)
  • The Greenhorn with a Green Thumb (Rabbit's Story)
  • The Night of the Waking Tigger (Tigger's Story)
  • Eeyore's Tailiversary (Eeyore's Story)

At the end, Pooh and his friends clean up the mess they made. They hide again when Christopher Robin comes back with his mom. After she leaves, they come out. Christopher Robin then tells them he had his journal with him all along! He starts to read the stories he marked. But he finds out his friends have already heard them. Tigger suggests that Christopher Robin read his own journal instead. Christopher Robin agrees to do that.
