Winnie the Pooh is a famous fictional teddy bear character. He was created by the English author A. A. Milne. Disney later brought Pooh Bear to life in many films and TV shows.
The Walt Disney Company got the rights to use Winnie the Pooh's stories and characters in 1961. This allowed them to make new adventures for Pooh. Their first Pooh movie was Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree in 1966. Winnie the Pooh is so popular that he was named one of the 50 greatest cartoon characters of all time by TV Guide in 2002. He even has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
