The Dormouse also appears in Disney's animated movie Alice in Wonderland. Just like in the book, he is very sleepy and a bit lazy. However, in the movie, he sings Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Bat to entertain everyone at the tea party. In the book, he tells a story about three mouse sisters.
This Dormouse gets very scared when someone mentions the word "cat." He reacts a lot like the Mouse character from the original book. To calm him down, the Mad Hatter and March Hare have to spread jam on his nose! This happens when Alice talks about her own cat, Dinah.
Later in the movie, the Dormouse is a witness at Alice's trial. When the Queen of Hearts hears the word "cat" again, the Dormouse panics. The March Hare, the Mad Hatter, and even the King of Hearts all try to catch him, which leads to some funny moments.
You can also see the Disney version of the Dormouse in other shows like House of Mouse and Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse.

In Tim Burton's 2010 movie Alice in Wonderland, the Dormouse is a small, brave female mouse named Mallymkun. She is very different from the sleepy character in the book. Mallymkun is an active fighter, similar to the character Reepicheep from The Chronicles of Narnia. She is voiced by actress Barbara Windsor.
Mallymkun first appears with the group Alice meets in Wonderland. She bravely saves Alice from the scary Bandersnatch by pulling out its eye! You see her again at the March Hare's tea party, enjoying tea with the March Hare and the Mad Hatter.
She also helps rescue the Hatter from the Red Queen. At the end of the movie, she is seen fighting against the Red Queen's army. Mallymkun also shows up in the movie's 2016 sequel. In the sequel, she, the Hatter, and the March Hare are having a tea party when Time travels back to the past.
