The story in this film happens during the second season of the House of Mouse series.

What Happens in the Story?
After a great Christmas Eve show, Mickey Mouse wishes all his guests a safe trip home. But then, Goofy points out a big problem! A huge snowstorm has blocked all the exits from the House of Mouse. No one can leave! The guests start to worry, but Mickey has a brilliant idea. He decides to throw a free Christmas party for everyone until the storm clears up.
However, there's one character who isn't feeling the Christmas spirit: Donald Duck. Mickey and Minnie Mouse try their best to cheer him up. They show different Christmas cartoons to get Donald into a festive mood.
Cartoons and Fun Moments
The cartoons they show are full of holiday cheer. One cartoon shows Donald trying to ice-skate. He keeps messing up the snowmen that Huey, Dewey, and Louie are building for a competition. Another classic short features Pluto trying to get Chip and Dale out of Mickey's Christmas tree.
The film also includes a special Mickey version of "The Nutcracker." Ludwig Von Drake shares his funny "Science of Santa" segment. You'll also see Mickey decorating his house with so many bright lights that they can be seen from far away! Plus, there are interviews where everyone talks about what they want for Christmas or what they are thankful for.
Donald's Christmas Spirit
After watching all these cartoons, everyone in the club is happy and enjoying Christmas. Even some villains like Jafar are having a good time! But Donald still refuses to feel cheerful. His bad mood starts to make everyone else feel down.
Mickey gets upset because nothing he tried worked to lift Donald's spirits. He goes to the roof and talks to Jiminy Cricket. Mickey tells Jiminy that he just wanted his friend to be happy and enjoy Christmas. Jiminy gives him some good advice: "Wish upon a star." Mickey does exactly that, and a magical star falls right into his hands!
Mickey returns to Donald and offers him the special job of putting the star on the Christmas tree. When Donald places the star, he instantly becomes jolly and full of Christmas cheer! The star then magically redecorates the whole club. It turns the wreaths golden and gives the Magic Mirror a Santa hat. Even Jafar's staff turns into a candy cane! Messages saying "Merry Christmas" in different languages appear on the TV. Mickey announces one last cartoon before a big carol.
After watching Mickey's Christmas Carol, everyone gathers on stage. They all sing "The Best Christmas of All" together. Mickey wishes everyone a Merry Christmas, and Tinker Bell flies by to end the film.
