Welcome to Dillydale: What's the Show About?
This show brings the classic Mr. Men and Little Miss books to life. It all takes place in a special town called Dillydale. The series follows characters from the books, along with some new friends made just for the show. They go on all sorts of exciting adventures!
Unlike the books, which often focused on characters like Mr. Tickle or Little Miss Sunshine, the show gives more screen time to other characters. Most episodes tell new stories that aren't directly from the books. They explore different topics and have lots of fun segments.
Living in Dillydale
In the original Mr. Men books, each character had their own hometown, like Happyland or Nonsenseland. But for The Mr. Men Show, all the characters live together in one place: the town of Dillydale!
The name "Dillydale" was thought up by the show's producer, Peggy Regan. To celebrate this cool new name, Peggy even received a special plaque and the honorary title "The Mayor of Dillydale"!

How the Show Was Made
The Mr. Men Show was created by Renegade Animation in Los Angeles, USA. They worked with Chorion in New York City and London. The show was made for Cartoon Network in the US and Five in the UK.
From Books to TV: Character Changes
When adapting the Mr. Men books for television, some things were changed to make the show even more exciting! Characters sometimes got new names or different looks. Also, some brand new characters were created just for the TV series.
For example, Mr. Rude, Mr. Quiet, Mr. Strong, Mr. Grumpy, and Mr. Fussy (who was called Mr. Persnickety in the US and Mr. Pernickety in the UK for a while) were reimagined. Other characters like Little Miss Naughty, Little Miss Whoops, Mr. Messy, Little Miss Helpful, Mr. Small, Mr. Nosey, Mr. Nervous, Mr. Lazy, Little Miss Magic, Mr. Tall, Little Miss Bossy, Mr. Funny, and Little Miss Curious also got fresh looks.
Plus, four completely new characters joined the fun: Little Miss Calamity, Little Miss Daredevil, Mr. Scatterbrain, and Mr. Stubborn. They were made just for the show!
