The Story of Robin Hood is an exciting adventure movie from 1952. It was made by Walt Disney Productions and RKO Radio Pictures. This film tells the classic story of Robin Hood, a legendary hero. It was filmed in beautiful Technicolor in Buckinghamshire, England.
The movie was written by Lawrence Edward Watkin and directed by Ken Annakin. It was only the second full live-action film made by Disney. The first was Treasure Island in 1950. This film was also the first of four movies that Ken Annakin directed for Disney.
The Story of Robin Hood

Robin Hood's Journey
The story begins with a young man named Robin Hood. He is deeply in love with Maid Marian. Robin and his father decide to enter an archery contest. This competition takes place at the King's palace.
On their way home, a terrible event happens. Robin's father is sadly killed by men working for Prince John. Prince John is a greedy ruler. He is taxing the people of the land unfairly.
Becoming an Outlaw
After his father's death, Robin decides to fight back. He chooses to live as an outlaw. He gathers a group of loyal friends around him. These friends are known as his "merry men." They live together in the famous Sherwood Forest.
Robin Hood and his merry men have two main goals. First, they want to get justice for his father's death. Second, they want to help the poor people. They do this by taking money from the rich and giving it to those in need.
