Antonio "Tony" Hill, born on October 23, 1968, is a former American football player. He played as a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys. He also played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Tony Hill played college football at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He was part of the Dallas Cowboys team that won Super Bowl XXVII.

Early Life and Sports
Tony Hill grew up in Warrenton, Georgia, and went to Warren County High School. He was a talented athlete, playing in important all-star football games. These included the Florida-Georgia and North-South games.
He was also a strong basketball player, earning second-team All-state honors. In track and field, Tony showed his strength. He placed third in the discus throw at the state finals. As a senior, he won the state championship in the shot put and finished fourth in the high jump.
College Football Career
Tony Hill received a football scholarship to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In his first year, he played in only five games. This was because of a stress fracture in his right foot.
As a sophomore, he started eight of nine games. He missed the last two games due to a dislocated right shoulder. In a game against East Tennessee State University, he had a career-high 11 tackles. He also made 2 sacks and forced a fumble.
In his junior year, Tony started every game. He led his team in sacks, even though he had a deep thigh bruise. Against the Citadel College, he made 11 tackles and forced two fumbles.
As a senior, Tony was limited by a left shoulder injury late in the season. Despite this, he earned All-Conference and Division I-AA All-American honors. He finished his college career with 187 tackles and 13 sacks. His 13 sacks were a school record.
Professional Football Career
Dallas Cowboys Years
The Dallas Cowboys picked Tony Hill in the fourth round of the 1991 NFL draft. He was the 108th player chosen overall. During the preseason, he led the team in tackles and sacks.
In the first game of the season against the Cleveland Browns, he hurt his left shoulder again. This was an injury from his college days. He was placed on the injured reserve list on September 14, 1991. This meant he couldn't play for a while. He returned for the eleventh game against the Houston Oilers. He also played in a playoff game against the Chicago Bears. In that game, he helped the Cowboys win by defending a pass and recovering a fumble.
On September 2, 1992, Tony was again placed on the injured reserve list. This time, it was for a right hamstring injury. He was activated on September 28. However, he strained his right hamstring again in the ninth game against the Philadelphia Eagles. This injury caused him to miss the rest of the regular season. He was activated for the playoffs and became a member of the Super Bowl XXVII winning team. The Cowboys released him on August 29, 1993, due to injury.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
In 1994, Tony Hill signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent. He was released by the team on August 23, 1994.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Later in 1994, Tony signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League. He played for the Blue Bombers for three seasons.
