Traylor Elizabeth Howard (born June 14, 1966) is an American actress. She is well-known for her role as Natalie Teeger in the TV series Monk. She played this part from 2005 to 2009.
Traylor Howard also starred in other popular TV shows. These include Boston Common (1996–1997) and Two Guys and a Girl (1998–2001). She has also appeared in movies like Dirty Work (1998) and Me, Myself & Irene (2000).

Early Life and Education
Traylor Howard was born in Orlando, Florida. Her parents are Peggy E. and Robert M. Howard, Jr. Her father was the president of a company called Howard Fertilizer and Chemical Company.
She went to Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando. After high school, she studied at Florida State University. She earned a degree in communications and advertising. She also had a minor in English.
Acting Career
Traylor Howard started acting early. While she was still in high school, she appeared in a commercial for Juicy Fruit chewing gum. In 1994, she was in a TV commercial for AT&T.
Her first big TV role came in 1996. She joined the NBC sitcom Boston Common. She played Joy Byrnes, a student who was the love interest of the main character. The show ran for two seasons.
From 1998 to 2001, Howard starred in the ABC sitcom Two Guys and a Girl. She played Sharon Carter, the "girl" in the show. She acted alongside Ryan Reynolds and Richard Ruccolo.
In 1998, Traylor Howard was the main female lead in the movie Dirty Work. She starred with Norm Macdonald.
She appeared in the movie Me, Myself & Irene in 2000. She was also in the music video for the Foo Fighters song "Breakout". This song was featured in the movie. That same year, she performed in a play called How I Fell in Love.
In 2002, Howard starred in a short-lived sitcom called Bram & Alice. She acted with Alfred Molina. She also made a guest appearance in the TV show The West Wing.
In 2005, she appeared in the movie Son of the Mask.
Her most famous role was from 2005 to 2009. She played Natalie Teeger in the TV series Monk. She was the loyal assistant to the detective, played by Tony Shalhoub. After Monk ended, Howard took a break from acting. She wanted to spend more time with her children.
Traylor Howard returned to her role as Natalie Teeger recently. She appeared in a short episode called "Mr. Monk Shelters in Place" in 2020. She also reprised her role in the movie Mr. Monk's Last Case: A Monk Movie in 2023.
Personal Life
Traylor Howard has been married three times. In 1991, she married Cameron B. Hall in Orlando, Florida. They later lived in Beverly Hills, California.
In 2003, she married Christian Navarro. They divorced in 2005.
She welcomed her first son, Sabu, in November 2006.
In 2011, Traylor Howard married Jarel Portman. He is the son of architect John C. Portman Jr.. They have a son named Julien.
