Turin is a small community in Alberta, Canada. It's called a hamlet, which is like a tiny village. Turin is part of Lethbridge County. You can find it about 56 kilometers (35 miles) northeast of Lethbridge. It sits right on Highway 25 and near a Canadian Pacific Railway train line.
This hamlet shares its name with the city of Turin, Italy. Because of this, an Olympic flag was put up in Turin, Alberta, when the 2006 Winter Olympics were held in Italy. The community of Turin was started in 1908. It was named after the very first settler's horse!
