Valzeina is a small village located in the beautiful Prättigau valley in Switzerland. It used to be its own town, called a municipality, in the Graubünden area. On January 1, 2011, Valzeina joined with two other towns, Fanas and Grüsch, to form a larger municipality named Grüsch.

Valzeina is quite old! The first time anyone wrote about Valzeina was in the year 1367. Back then, it was called Valtzennas. This shows it has been a part of the region for a very long time.

Valzeina covers an area of about 11.4 square kilometers (that's about 4.4 square miles). Imagine a space about 11.4 times the size of a large park!
