Venom Energy is a brand of energy drink from America. It is made by Keurig Dr Pepper, a company based in Plano, Texas. Venom Energy is special because it comes in a thick aluminum bottle. The drink first came out in 2002. It was relaunched in 2008 with a new taste and its signature aluminum bottle.

The Story of Venom Energy
Venom Energy was first called "Elements Energy." The company changed its name when sales started to slow down. Some of the original "Elements" flavors are still around today. For example, the "Black Mamba" flavor was once just "Venom." "Mango" became "Infusion," "Citrus" became "Voltage," "Strawberry Apple" became "Atomic," and "Black Cherry Kiwi" became "Subzero."
In 2008, Venom Energy teamed up with the Arena Football League. They promoted the drink during the 2008 playoffs on ESPN and ABC. Famous football player Terrell Owens also became a spokesperson for the brand.
Venom Energy has also sponsored other sports teams and athletes. They supported the Andretti Autosport IndyCar Series team. Driver Marco Andretti was part of this team. They also sponsored NHL players like Pavel Datsyuk of the Detroit Red Wings, Max Talbot of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Milan Lucic of the Boston Bruins. In the NBA, they sponsored Jordan Farmar of the New Jersey Nets. In MLB, they sponsored Lance Berkman of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Venom Energy drinks contain several ingredients that give them their energy boost. These include taurine, glucuronolactone, and guarana. Other ingredients are L-carnitine, inositol, and maltodextrin.
Each bottle of Venom Energy has about 162 milligrams of caffeine. This is roughly the same amount of caffeine you would find in a large coffee.
Venom Energy used to come in 16.9 fluid ounce aluminum bottles. In 2012, the bottles were made a bit smaller. They became 16 fluid ounces, which is a common size for many other energy drinks.
