Ventadour Lake is a beautiful freshwater lake in the southeastern part of the Eeyou Istchee James Bay (municipality) area in Quebec, Canada. It is located in a region called Jamésie, which is part of the Nord-du-Québec administrative region.
This lake stretches across two areas known as Ventadour and Feuquières townships. The main activity here is forestry, which means cutting down trees for wood. After that, tourism for fun and relaxation is the second most important activity.
You can reach Ventadour Lake by using a forest road called R1032. This road runs north to south and passes by the west side of Ventadour Lake and Gabriel Lake. The road also crosses the Ventadour River south of the lake. It then connects to Quebec route 212, which leads to places like Obedjiwan and La Tuque.
The surface of Ventadour Lake is usually frozen solid from early November until mid-May. However, it's generally safe to walk or travel on the ice from mid-November to mid-April.
