Vogorno is a small village in Switzerland. It used to be its own town, called a municipality. Vogorno is part of the Ticino region, near the city of Locarno. The village sits above a lake called Lago di Vogorno. This lake is actually a reservoir, which is a large artificial lake used to store water. It was created by the Verzasca Dam.

In 2020, Vogorno joined with several other nearby villages. These included Sonogno, Corippo, Brione (Verzasca), and Frasco. Together, they formed a new, larger municipality named Verzasca.

Vogorno covers an area of about 23.88 square kilometers (about 9.2 square miles). A small part of this land, about 1.6%, is used for farming. Most of the area, nearly 60%, is covered by forests.
