Willow Springs is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. A small part of the village is also in DuPage County. The village was started in 1892. It got its name from the natural springs found near the Des Plaines River. In 2020, about 5,857 people lived there.

Where is Willow Springs Located?

Willow Springs is right next to the Des Plaines River and the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal. It is also very close to the Palos Forest Preserves, which are large natural areas.

The village covers about 4.25 square miles (11.02 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, about 4.15 square miles (10.75 square kilometers). A small part, about 0.10 square miles (0.27 square kilometers), is water.

Willow Springs shares its borders with several other towns. These include Hickory Hills, Justice, Hodgkins, and Burr Ridge.
