Windy Hills is a small city located in eastern Jefferson County, Kentucky, in the United States. It became an official city in 1952. According to the 2020 census, about 2,427 people live there.

Where is Windy Hills Located?
Windy Hills is in the northeastern part of Jefferson County. It shares borders with several other towns and areas:
- To the north, it's next to Indian Hills and Northfield.
- To the east, you'll find Graymoor-Devondale.
- To the south, it borders Woodlawn Park and St. Matthews.
- To the southwest, it's close to Maryhill Estates.
- The rest of its borders are with the larger Louisville/Jefferson County area.
Two important roads also mark its edges:
- U.S. Route 42 forms the northern border.
- Interstate 264 forms the eastern border.
Downtown Louisville is only about 7 miles (11 km) to the west.

A small stream called the Muddy Fork of Beargrass Creek starts in the northeastern part of Windy Hills. This creek is a branch of the Ohio River. It flows west towards Hubbards Lane.
