Wittinsburg is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Sissach district. It is part of the canton of Basel-Country in Switzerland.

Geography of Wittinsburg
Wittinsburg covers an area of about 3.21 square kilometers (1.24 square miles). A large part of the land, almost 60%, is used for farming. About 32% of the area is covered by forests. The remaining 8% is used for buildings and roads.
Most of the forested land is made up of thick forests. For farming, people use the land to grow crops and for pastures where animals graze. Some areas are also used for orchards, which grow fruit trees.

The coat of arms for Wittinsburg has a special design. It is split down the middle into two colors: black on one side and gold on the other. On this shield, you can see two corn ears. They are "counterchanged," meaning the corn ear on the black side is gold, and the corn ear on the gold side is black.

Wittinsburg has a population of about 416 people (as of 2023). Most of the people living here are Swiss citizens. Only a small percentage, about 3.6%, are people from other countries.
Most residents, about 97.3%, speak German. A smaller number of people speak Serbo-Croatian or French.
In 2008, the population was almost evenly split between males (49.8%) and females (50.2%). Many people were born in Wittinsburg or in the same canton. Some residents were born in other parts of Switzerland or outside the country.
The population has grown over the years. In 2008, there were more births than deaths among Swiss citizens. Also, some Swiss women moved back to Switzerland, and some non-Swiss men moved to Wittinsburg.
