Playing for Clubs

After finishing university, Yoshitada Yamaguchi joined a football club called Hitachi in 1967. This club is now known as Kashiwa Reysol. He was a very important player for them.

In 1972, his team, Hitachi, won two big championships: the Japan Soccer League and the Emperor's Cup. They also won the Emperor's Cup again in 1975.

Yamaguchi played 121 games for Hitachi and scored 15 goals. He was so good that he was chosen for the "Best Eleven" team for seven years in a row! This award goes to the best players in the league each year. He stopped playing football in 1975.
