Yun Il-sun (Korean: 윤일선; 尹日善, October 5, 1896 – June 22, 1987) was an important figure in South Korea. He was a pathologist, which is a doctor who studies diseases. He was also an anatomist, someone who studies the structure of the body. Besides his medical work, he was a politician.
Yun Il-sun served as the Vice Chairman of the University of Seoul from 1954 to 1956. He then became the 6th Chairman of the university, serving from 1956 to 1960. He was related to other famous Koreans: he was the nephew of Yun Chi-ho, a leader who resisted Japanese rule. He was also the older cousin of Yun Po-sun, who later became the 4th President of South Korea. Yun Il-sun's special pen name was Dongho.
