The Canton of Zug is one of the 26 cantons of Switzerland. It is located right in the middle of Switzerland. Its main city, or capital, is also called Zug.
This canton is one of the smallest in Switzerland. It covers an area of 239 square kilometers. Even though it's small, it's an important part of the country.
Where is Zug?
The Canton of Zug is in the central part of Switzerland. To its west, you'll find the Cantons of Lucerne and Aargau.
To the north, it borders the Canton of Zürich. The Canton of Schwyz is to its west and south.
The canton has two beautiful lakes. These lakes take up a big part of the canton's total area. They are Lake Zug and Lake Ägeri.
