The 2007 New England Patriots season was a very special year for the New England Patriots football team. It was their 38th season in the NFL. They won the AFC East division for the sixth time.

In 2007, the Patriots made history by winning all sixteen of their regular season games. They were the first NFL team to finish a regular season with a perfect 16 wins and no losses. They achieved this amazing record after beating the New York Giants 38-35 in their final regular season game.

The Patriots continued their winning streak into the playoffs. They won their first two playoff games, bringing their total record to 18 wins and 0 losses. This meant they reached Super Bowl XLII without a single defeat. In the Super Bowl, they faced the same New York Giants team they had beaten earlier. However, the Giants won the Super Bowl with a score of 17-14, ending the Patriots' perfect season.
