Playoffs
The Knicks made it to the 2011 NBA Playoffs! They played against the Boston Celtics in the first round. Unfortunately, they lost all four games (0–4) and were eliminated from the playoffs.
Player Highlights
Many players had great performances during the season.
- Amar'e Stoudemire was a leading scorer, averaging 25.4 points per game. He also grabbed a lot of rebounds, averaging 8.2 per game.
- Raymond Felton was excellent at passing the ball, averaging 9.0 assists per game. He also led the team in steals.
- Landry Fields played in almost every game and was a strong rebounder.
- After a big trade, Carmelo Anthony joined the team and quickly became a top scorer, averaging 26.3 points per game for the Knicks.
- Chauncey Billups also joined the team in the trade and helped with scoring and assists.

Player Awards
- Amar'e Stoudemire was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week twice, in November and December.
- Landry Fields was recognized as the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month twice, for games played in October/November and December.

Player Trades
The Knicks made some important trades to improve their team:
- July 9, 2010: The Knicks traded David Lee to the Golden State Warriors. In return, they received Kelenna Azubuike, Anthony Randolph, and Ronny Turiaf.
- July 9, 2010: The Knicks also traded a future draft pick to the Phoenix Suns to get superstar player Amar'e Stoudemire.
- February 22, 2011: In a big trade, the Knicks sent Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, and Timofey Mozgov to the Denver Nuggets. In exchange, they got Carmelo Anthony, Renaldo Balkman, Chauncey Billups, Anthony Carter, and Shelden Williams.
- February 22, 2011: On the same day, the Knicks traded Eddy Curry and Anthony Randolph to the Minnesota Timberwolves and received Corey Brewer.
