A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner! is a fun TV movie from 2011. It's based on the popular cartoon show The Fairly OddParents. This movie is special because it uses live-action actors mixed with CGI animation for the fairies!

It first aired on Nickelodeon in the United States on July 9, 2011. This was part of the celebration for the cartoon series' tenth birthday. About 5.8 million people watched it when it first came out!

The story takes place in Dimmsdale, where Timmy Turner lives. He still has his magical fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, and his fairy godbrother, Poof. The movie happens after the cartoon series ends. Timmy is now 23 years old, but he's still in fifth grade! He does this to keep his fairies, thanks to a special rule.

But things get tricky when Tootie comes back to Dimmsdale. She used to be a shy girl when she was ten, but now she's a beautiful young woman. Timmy starts to fall in love with her. This means he's growing up, and if he grows up, he might lose his fairies! At the same time, a rich oil boss named Hugh J. Magnate, Jr. teams up with Timmy's fairy-obsessed teacher, Mr. Crocker. They want to use the fairies' magic for their own oil business.

The Story of Timmy's Big Decision

This movie shows Timmy Turner, now 23 years old, still living like a 10-year-old. He does this so he can keep his fairy godparents, Cosmo, Wanda, and Poof. His parents really want him to move out and grow up. Even Jorgen von Strangle, the head fairy, tries to make Timmy give up his fairies.

Timmy Meets Tootie Again

One day, Timmy meets Tootie again. She was a girl who used to have a huge crush on him. Now, she's grown into a lovely activist. Timmy instantly likes her! But his fairy godparents worry. They are afraid that if Timmy grows up and falls in love, he won't need them anymore. Timmy feels stuck between his feelings for Tootie and wanting to keep his magical friends.

The Plan to Steal the Fairies

Meanwhile, Timmy's teacher, Mr. Crocker, teams up with a rich oil businessman named Hugh Magnate. Their plan is to capture Timmy's fairies. They want to use the fairies' magic for their own selfish reasons. Magnate tricks Tootie and kidnaps her. Crocker manages to catch Cosmo, Wanda, and Poof. He puts them in a machine that can use their magic to grant wishes.

Timmy's Rescue Mission

But Magnate betrays Crocker, pushing him into a huge ball pit! Magnate then hurts the fairies by making the wish-granting machine shock them every time a wish is made. Timmy rushes to save both his fairies and Tootie. He fights Magnate and a toy robot that Magnate brought to life with the fairies' magic. Timmy successfully frees everyone!

A New Rule for Fairy World

After the rescue, Timmy has to say goodbye to his fairy godparents. They disappear the moment he kisses Tootie. Timmy is sad, but he's also happy to finally be able to act like an adult. But then, Jorgen von Strangle tells him amazing news! Because Timmy was so brave, a new rule was made in Fairy World. Timmy can now keep his fairy godparents forever, as long as he makes wishes that help others.

A Happy Ending for Timmy and Tootie

So, Timmy and Tootie decide to start a charity. They will use their wishes to help fix problems around the world. They fly off in a magical van, just like in the movie Back to the Future! Magnate, who claimed fairies exist, is sent to a special hospital. His secretary takes over his company and makes it good for the environment. The movie ends with Mr. Crocker finally falling out of the ball pit, right in front of Timmy's house!
