Ahmad Kadar Brooks (born March 14, 1984) is a former American football player. He was a talented linebacker, a defensive position in football. Brooks played for several teams during his career. These included the Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers, and Green Bay Packers.

Early Life and High School Success
Ahmad Brooks grew up in Woodbridge, Virginia. He went to C. D. Hylton High School. There, he was a key player on the football team.
Winning Championships
During his first two years, Ahmad helped his team win two state championships. This was in 1998 and 1999. His team became very well-known across the country. They had an amazing record of 40 wins and no losses.
Senior Year Highlights
In his senior year (2001), Ahmad played incredibly well. He made 202 tackles, which means he stopped the opposing team's players many times. He also ran the ball for 848 yards and scored 10 touchdowns. After this great season, he was named the best high school defensive player in the country by USA Today. He also played in a special game called the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in 2002.
College Football Career
After high school, Ahmad Brooks went to the University of Virginia. He quickly became a star player for the Virginia Cavaliers football team.
Freshman Year Impact
As a freshman in 2003, Ahmad immediately earned a starting spot. He led his team with 117 tackles. He also had four sacks, which is when a defensive player tackles the opposing team's quarterback.
Sophomore Year Achievements
In his second year, Ahmad was one of the top college linebackers. He was even a finalist for the Butkus Award. This award goes to the best college linebacker in the country. He played in 12 games and had 90 tackles and eight sacks. He was recognized as an All-America player.

Ahmad Brooks began his professional career in the NFL supplemental draft in 2006. He was chosen by the Cincinnati Bengals.
Starting with the Cincinnati Bengals (2006–2007)
Ahmad made his first NFL appearance in September 2006. He played against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In his first start, he had 11 tackles. He also got his first NFL sack against the Carolina Panthers. He finished his first year with 31 tackles and one sack.
In 2007, Ahmad started the season strong. He had six tackles and a sack in the first game. However, he got a groin injury in the next game. This injury unfortunately ended his season early.
Time with the San Francisco 49ers (2008–2016)
Ahmad Brooks joined the San Francisco 49ers in 2008. He didn't play in 2008, but he made a big impact starting in 2009.
Making an Impact (2009–2011)
In 2009, Ahmad started to show his skills. He recorded his first sack of the season against the Houston Texans. Later that year, he had an amazing game against the Arizona Cardinals. He made three sacks and forced two fumbles, helping the 49ers win.

Later Years with the 49ers (2014–2016)
Ahmad continued to be a strong defensive player for the 49ers in the following years. He consistently recorded many tackles and sacks. In 2014, he had 30 tackles and six sacks. In 2015, he had 42 tackles and 6.5 sacks. His last season with the 49ers was 2016, where he had 53 tackles and six sacks.
Joining the Green Bay Packers (2017)
In 2017, Ahmad Brooks signed a one-year deal with the Green Bay Packers. He played in 12 games for them. He had 19 tackles and 1.5 sacks that season.
