Alexandre Despatie, born on June 8, 1985, is a famous Canadian diver and TV host from Laval, Quebec. He is known for being a world champion in diving. Alexandre is the only diver ever to win world titles in all three individual diving events: 1-meter springboard, 3-meter springboard, and 10-meter platform.
He won many awards during his diving career. He earned two silver medals at the Summer Olympics. He also won three gold medals at the World Championships. Alexandre is considered the most successful male diver in Canadian history. He was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Alexandre Despatie started diving when he was only five years old. He learned to dive in his own backyard pool.
Early Achievements in Diving
Alexandre first became famous at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. He won a gold medal in the 10-meter platform event. He was only 13 years old at the time. This amazing achievement was even written in the Guinness Book Of World Records in 2000.
At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, he finished fourth. This was in the 10-meter platform event. He was offered a chance to compete in another event. However, he chose not to, as he hadn't trained for it.
World and Pan American Success
In 2001, he won a silver medal at the World Championships. This event took place in Fukuoka, Japan. Two years later, in 2003, he won a gold medal. This was at the World Diving Championships in Barcelona, Spain. He set a new record with his final dive.
At the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, Alexandre won another gold medal. This time it was in the three-meter springboard event. He then won three more gold medals. These were at the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

In 2015, Alexandre left the show. Later, in 2021, he appeared on a TV show called Chanteurs masqués. This show is a version of The Masked Singer in Quebec. He was known as "Gâteau" (Cake) on the show.
In 2023, Alexandre competed on Big Brother Célébrités. He was the fourth person to leave the show.
