What Are the Different Types of Amines?

How Do Amines React?

  • Amines can be changed into other important functional groups, like imines.

You can find amines in many important biological molecules. For example, they are a key part of every protein molecule. Proteins are made up of smaller units called amino acids, and every amino acid contains an amine group. This shows just how vital amines are for life!
