Ana Free grew up in Cascais, Portugal, with her older brother. Her mom is British, and her dad is Portuguese. From a young age, Ana loved writing. She started writing songs and poems when she was just 10 years old.

Ana Free's Career Journey
In 2013, Ana Free became a music ambassador for Volkswagen. She helped promote their new car, the Volkswagen Beetle, in a campaign filmed in Hawaii. That same year, she released her first album, "TOGETHER."
After the Volkswagen campaign, Ana moved to Los Angeles. In late 2013, she became one of the official songwriters for the TV show SAF3. She was also chosen as one of the top 10 finalists in the 2013 Guitar Center Singer Songwriter Competition.
In 2012, Ana Free used PledgeMusic to raise money for her debut album. She worked with producer Rodrigo Crespo, who has worked with Shakira. They recorded the album in Buenos Aires, London, and Lisbon.
Ana showcased her album at a YouTube festival in Singapore in May 2012. This was her first time visiting Asia! She performed her first single, "Electrical Storm," on The MTV Show. Helping Others: Charity Work
Ana Free cares about helping others. In 2009, she became an ambassador for the Liga Portuguesa contra o Cancro (LPCC). She helped raise awareness for cervical cancer. She is also the current ambassador for the Lisbon Oceanarium.
In 2010, the Make A Wish Foundation worked with Ana to make a young fan's dream come true. The fan, who had cystic fibrosis, spent five days in London with her family. They went to Ana's studio, visited the London Eye, and attended one of Ana's popular shows.
