Angelo Di Livio is a famous Italian former footballer. He was born on July 26, 1966. He played as a midfielder, which is a player who helps both attack and defense. He also played as a wing-back, running up and down the side of the field.

Angelo Di Livio played for many Italian clubs, especially Juventus and Fiorentina. He won many important titles with Juventus. He also played for the Italian national team in big tournaments like the FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championship. He even reached the final of the UEFA Euro 2000.

During his career, people called him soldatino, which means "toy soldier" in Italian. His teammate Roberto Baggio gave him this nickname. It was because Angelo was not very tall, stood up straight, and ran quickly along the side of the field like a little soldier.

Angelo Di Livio started his football journey in Rome, his hometown. He began with the club Roma in 1984. He didn't play any games for them in his first season.

After Roma, Di Livio played for several other teams. These included Reggiana (1985–86), Nocerina (1986–87), Perugia (1987–89), and Padova (1989–93). He gained a lot of experience playing for these clubs.

Success with Juventus

From 1993 to 1999, Angelo Di Livio played for Juventus. This was a very successful time for him and the club. He was known for his endless running and great passes from the side of the field. He helped Juventus win many important trophies.

In 2002, Fiorentina faced a big problem: the club went bankrupt. It had to restart as a new team, Florentia Viola, in a lower league called Serie C2. Angelo Di Livio showed how loyal he was by being the only player to stay with the team. He helped them climb back up through the Italian football leagues. They eventually returned to Serie A in 2004. He retired from playing after the 2004–05 season.

In Euro 1996, he helped set up a goal for his teammate Pierluigi Casiraghi in a game against Russia. For the national team, he was often used to help protect a lead when Italy was winning.

After he stopped playing football, Angelo Di Livio became a coach. He worked with young players in the AS Roma Youth System.
