Arian Moayed (Persian: آرین مؤید; born April 15, 1980) is an actor, writer, and director from Iran and America. He is known for his roles in plays and TV shows. Arian was nominated for two Tony Awards for his acting in plays like Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo (2011) and A Doll's House (2023). He also received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for playing Stewy Hosseini in the HBO show Succession.
Arian Moayed also appeared as Todd Spodek in the Netflix series Inventing Anna. He played Agent P. Cleary in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) and the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel (2022). He is also set to appear in Wonder Man.

Early Life and Education
Arian Moayed was born in Tehran, Iran. His parents moved from Iran in 1986 when he was five years old. His family settled in Glenview, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Arian grew up in a Muslim family and speaks Persian.
He finished high school at Glenbrook South High School in 1998. Then, he went to Indiana University and earned a bachelor's degree in 2002. While in college, he acted in plays by famous writers like William Shakespeare.
Arian's Acting Career
After college, Arian Moayed moved to Manhattan, New York. In 2002, he and his college roommate, Tom Ridgely, started a company called Waterwell. This company creates theater shows, educational programs, and films in New York. Waterwell has put on many stage productions since it began.
Stage Performances
Arian played the character of Musa in the play Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo. He acted alongside the famous actor Robin Williams in this play. For his role as Musa, Arian was nominated for a Tony Award in 2011. He also won a Theater World Award.
In 2016, he starred in the play Guards at the Taj as Babur. He acted with Omar Metwally in this show. For his performance, Arian received an Obie Award.
In 2017, Arian Moayed played Richard Saad in the play The Humans. This play was performed in New York and London. The production won a Tony Award for Best Play. Arian also received a Drama Desk Award for being part of the amazing cast.
In 2023, Arian starred as Torvald Helmer in the play A Doll's House on Broadway. He was nominated for another Tony Award for this role.
TV and Film Roles
From 2018 to 2023, Arian Moayed was a main actor in the HBO show Succession. He played Stewy Hosseini, a character who was a friend and rival to the main family. For this role, he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in both 2022 and 2023.
Arian also appeared in the Netflix series Inventing Anna in 2022. He played Todd Spodek, a lawyer. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he played Agent P.
