Geography of Arriga
Arriga is located in a hilly area. The famous Great Dividing Range passes through its southern and eastern parts. You'll find two mountains here:
- Mount White, which is 764 meters tall.
- Walsh Bluff, which is 907 meters tall.
A main road, the Mareeba Dimbula Road, runs through Arriga. It connects the area to places like Paddys Green and Mutchilba.

Tableland Sugar Mill
The Tableland Sugar Mill started working on June 28, 1998. This was a big deal because it was the first new sugar mill built in Queensland in 75 years! It was very modern for its time, using lots of automation. This made it efficient and good for the environment.
