Autafond was a small town, also called a municipality, located in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. It was part of the Sarine district.
On January 1, 2016, Autafond became part of the nearby municipality of Belfaux. This means it is no longer its own separate town.

History of Autafond
Autafond is quite old! The first time anyone wrote about Autafond was in the year 1236. Back then, it was called Auta-fonz.
What Autafond Looked Like (Geography)
In 2009, Autafond covered an area of about 2.4 square kilometers (which is about 0.9 square miles).
- Most of this land, about 66.5%, was used for farming. This means fields for crops or places for animals to graze.
- A good part of the land, about 30.2%, was covered by forests.
