Bôle was once a town, called a municipality, in Switzerland. It was located in the Boudry district within the Neuchâtel area.

On January 1, 2013, Bôle joined with two other towns, Auvernier and Colombier. They all became part of a new, larger municipality called Milvignes.

History of Bôle

Bôle is quite an old place. The first time anyone wrote about Bôle was in the year 1346. Back then, it was known as Boule.

Bôle covered an area of about 2.6 square kilometers (1 square mile). A big part of this land, about 27%, was used for farming. This means people grew crops or raised animals there.

Almost half of Bôle's land, about 45%, was covered by forests. These forests were mostly dense woods. The remaining land, about 28%, was developed. This included buildings, roads, and places like sports fields.

Bôle is located on a hillside. It sits above an old Roman road called Vy d'Etraz. The town itself is a linear village, meaning it stretches out along a road.
