Because of her talent, she was sent to train with the famous BJJ legend Leticia Ribeiro in Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. At 15, she even trained in Freestyle wrestling and won a junior state title. After that, she decided to focus completely on BJJ. She earned her brown belt in June 2009 from Professor Leticia Ribeiro. She received it while standing on the podium at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship. She then earned her black belt in March 2011, also from Professor Ribeiro.
