Bernard "Tiger" Clark (born January 12, 1967) is an American football coach and former player. He is known by his nickname "Tiger." He currently works as the head football coach at Robert Morris University. He started this job in 2018.

Clark used to play professional football as a linebacker. He played for teams like the Cincinnati Bengals and the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL). Before that, he played college football at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.

Tiger Clark's Early Life and Playing Days

Bernard Clark graduated from A. P. Leto High School in Tampa, Florida, in 1985. He played middle linebacker for the University of Miami from 1985 to 1989.

He got a big chance to show his skills in the 1988 Orange Bowl. He played because another player, George Mira Jr., was not allowed to play. Clark had an amazing game and was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Orange Bowl.

In 1990, the Cincinnati Bengals picked Clark in the third round of the 1990 NFL draft. He played for two seasons in the National Football League (NFL), from 1990 to 1991. He played for the Bengals and then the Seattle Seahawks. Later, he played two seasons with the Orlando Predators in the Arena Football League.

Bernard Clark's Coaching Journey

After his playing career, Clark started coaching. His first coaching job was at James Madison University. He coached defensive ends there from 1998 to 1999.

Next, he coached special teams and linebackers for three years at Liberty University (2000–2003). In 2004, he became the defensive coordinator for Florida International University (FIU).

In 2006, Clark coached the defensive line at the University of South Florida. This was in his hometown of Tampa. After one season, he went back to FIU in 2007 to coach the defensive line again.

In 2009, he became the defensive coordinator at Hampton University. In February 2010, Clark left Hampton. He joined Dave Wannstedt's coaching team at the University of Pittsburgh. Wannstedt had been Clark's coach when he played at Miami.
