Beverly Hills Chihuahua is a fun 2008 movie from Walt Disney Pictures. It was directed by Raja Gosnell. The first sneak peek of the movie was shown with The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.

The movie was first planned to come out on September 26, 2008. But the release date was changed to October 3. The story is about a small chihuahua dog who gets lost in Mexico. She then has to escape from a mean Doberman.

Before Beverly Hills Chihuahua, some people thought a short movie called Destino would be shown. Destino was a 2003 short film based on an idea by Walt Disney and Salvador Dalí from the 1940s. However, this didn't happen. Instead, a preview of the Disney movie Bolt was shown.

What is the Story About?

The movie follows a very spoiled chihuahua named Chloe. She lives in Beverly Hills and is voiced by Drew Barrymore. Her owner, "Aunt Viv" (Jamie Lee Curtis), has to go to Italy. So, she leaves Chloe with her niece, Rachel Ashe Lynn (Piper Perabo).

Rachel and her friends decide to go on vacation to Mexico. While there, Chloe gets taken by a bad person who wants to use her for money. Meanwhile, Papi (voiced by George Lopez), a male chihuahua who really likes Chloe, starts looking for her.

Chloe makes friends with a lonely German Shepherd named Delgado. He is voiced by Andy Garcia. Delgado travels with Chloe to keep her safe. They are trying to escape from a mean Doberman (voiced by Edward James Olmos). This Doberman wants to harm Chloe and steal her fancy diamond collar. He plans to give the collar back to the person who took Chloe.
