Big Walnut Creek is a cool river in Ohio. It starts near Mount Gilead, Ohio in Morrow County. The creek then flows south into eastern Delaware County. It runs right next to Alum Creek for a while.
The creek passes by Sunbury and flows into Hoover Reservoir. This reservoir then stretches into Franklin County. From there, Big Walnut Creek continues its journey through towns like Gahanna and Whitehall. Near Obetz, two other important creeks join it: Alum Creek and Blacklick Creek. This meeting point is at the beautiful Three Creeks Columbus Metro Park.
