Early Life and Music Beginnings
Sammie Benson was born on April 8, 1990. He grew up in a tough area of South Memphis, Tennessee. His grandparents raised him and his younger brothers. Even though his grandparents worked, it was hard for them to afford enough food.
When he was just 7 years old, Benson got a job at a local grocery store. However, he was let go because he was trying to get food for his family. After that, life was difficult. In 2012, after a challenging period, Benson started hosting parties in his neighborhood. This made him well-known in South Memphis. Soon after, he began his music career, releasing his first mixtape called Fast Bricks in 2012.
