Brügglen was a small town in Switzerland. It was located in the canton of Solothurn, in the Bucheggberg district.
On January 1, 2014, Brügglen joined with several other towns. These towns included Tscheppach, Aetingen, and Kyburg-Buchegg. They all merged to create a new, larger municipality called Buchegg.

History of Brügglen
Brügglen is a very old place. It was first mentioned in official writings in the year 1249. Back then, its name was spelled Bruglon.
Geography of Brügglen
Before it merged, Brügglen covered an area of about 1.7 square kilometers (about 0.65 square miles).
Most of its land was used for farming, about 55% of the total area. Forests covered a large part too, around 38%. Only a small portion, about 6%, had buildings or roads.
The town was located on a small, flat area called a plateau. Brügglen was a haufendorf village. This means it was built without a clear plan, with houses close together around a central spot.
