Bressaucourt was once a small town, or 'municipality,' located in the Jura canton of Switzerland. It was part of the Porrentruy area. On January 1, 2013, Bressaucourt joined with the nearby town of Fontenais to become one larger municipality.

Bressaucourt has a long history! The town was first mentioned in official records way back in 1139. Back then, it was known as Bersalcurt.

Before it merged, Bressaucourt covered an area of about 9.5 square kilometers (around 3.7 square miles). A big part of this land, about 42%, was used for farming. Even more, about 54%, was covered by forests.

The town itself, with its buildings and roads, took up about 4% of the land. A tiny bit was rivers or lakes, and a very small amount was unproductive land.

Bressaucourt was located in the Porrentruy district, right on the border with France.
