Camélia Jordana Aliouane (born on September 15, 1992) is a talented French pop singer. She became well-known after appearing on the TV show Nouvelle Star in 2009. This show is like the French version of Pop Idol. Camélia finished in third place on the show. Since 2013, she has also starred in many French movies.

Camélia Jordana's Early Life and Music Career
Growing Up and Starting Out
Camélia Jordana was born in Toulon, France, on September 15, 1992. Her parents are French, with family roots from Algeria. Her father, Hachemi, is from the Berber Kabyle group. Her mother, Zélihka, is an Arab from Oran. Camélia grew up in La Londe-les-Maures with her older sister and younger brother.
Becoming a Star on TV
When Camélia was sixteen, she decided to try out for the seventh season of Nouvelle Star. She auditioned in Marseille. The judges were very impressed by her singing of "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. She made it all the way to third place in the competition.
After the show, Camélia signed a music deal with Sony Music. She released her first album, called Camélia Jordana, on March 29, 2010. In its first week, the album sold over 10,000 copies. It quickly reached number 9 on the French music charts.
First Songs and Collaborations
Camélia's first song, "Non Non Non (Écouter Barbara)", was released only as a download in France. It became very popular, reaching number 3 on the French digital song chart. It also did well in Belgium, reaching number 3, and in Switzerland, where it got to number 48.
In April 2010, Camélia sang on a song for an album called So in Love. This album was by André Manoukian, who was one of the judges on Nouvelle Star. She also appeared on the TV show Acoustic on TV5Monde in November 2010, where she was interviewed and performed several songs.
In 2024, Camélia sang on the song "Mazel" for Emel's album MRA.
