Camélia Jordana Aliouane (born September 15, 1992) is a talented French-Algerian singer and actress. She became well-known after appearing on the TV show Nouvelle Star in 2009. This show is like the French version of Pop Idol. Camélia finished in third place on the show. Since 2013, she has also starred in many French movies.

Camélia Jordana's Early Life and Music Career
Camélia Jordana was born on September 15, 1992, in Toulon, France. Her parents are from Algeria. Her father is from the Berber Kabyle group, and her mother is an Arab from Oran. Camélia grew up in La Londe-les-Maures with her older sister and younger brother.
When she was sixteen, Camélia decided to try out for the seventh season of Nouvelle Star. She auditioned in Marseille. The judges were very impressed by her singing of Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World". She made it all the way to third place in the competition.
After the show, Camélia signed a music deal with Sony Music. She released her first album, named Camélia Jordana, on March 29, 2010. Her first single, "Non Non Non (Écouter Barbara)", was released online in France. It became very popular, reaching number 3 on the French digital music chart. It also did well in Belgium and Switzerland.
In April 2010, Camélia sang a song for an album called So in Love. This album was by André Manoukian, one of the judges from Nouvelle Star. She also performed several songs on the TV show Acoustic in November 2010. In 2024, she sang on the song "Mazel" for Emel's album MRA.

Camélia Jordana has also become a successful actress. In 2013, she started getting main roles in French films. She has appeared in many movies since then.
In 2017, she starred in the film Le Brio. For her role in this movie, she won the César Award for Most Promising Actress. This is a very important award in French cinema. She also voiced Gwen Stacy / Spider-Woman in the French version of the animated movie Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse in 2018.
In 2021, Camélia was part of the jury for the Semaine de la Critique section at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival. This shows her importance in the film world.
Camélia Jordana's Philanthropy and Advocacy
Camélia Jordana also uses her voice to support important causes. On November 27, 2015, she participated in a national memorial day. This day honored the victims of the November 2015 Paris attacks. She sang the song “Quand on n'a que l'amour” by Jacques Brel alongside other artists like Nolwenn Leroy and Yael Naim.
In June 2024, Camélia signed a petition. This petition asked French President Emmanuel Macron for France to officially recognize the State of Palestine. This shows her support for peace and human rights.
