Life and Career of Carlos Núñez
Carlos Núñez was born in 1971 in Vigo, a city in Galicia. He started playing the bagpipes when he was just eight years old. When he was a teenager, he was asked to play with an orchestra. This was at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient in Brittany, France.
Becoming a Music Star
Carlos studied music at the Royal Conservatory in Madrid, Spain. He quickly became known as a very talented young musician. He met Paddy Moloney from the famous band The Chieftains. Just two years later, Carlos performed with them! People even called him the "7th member" of The Chieftains. He played on their Grammy-winning album, Santiago. This album focused on Galician music.
