Another state highway in Cecilton is Maryland Route 282. This road follows Main Street and runs east-west through the town. To the west, MD 282 leads to Crystal Beach. Heading east, it goes through Warwick before crossing into Delaware, where it becomes Delaware Route 299.
For public transportation, Cecil Transit offers a special "Demand Response" bus service. This service runs twice a month between Cecilton and Middletown, Delaware. It helps people in southern Cecil County get to places like shopping centers and healthcare facilities in Middletown.

Notable Person from Cecilton
David Davis was a very important person who was born near Cecilton on March 9, 1815. He was a close advisor to President Abraham Lincoln.
In 1862, David Davis was appointed to the Supreme Court of the United States, which is the highest court in the country. He served as a Supreme Court Justice until 1877. After that, he resigned from the court to become a U.S. Senator for the state of Illinois.
