Chéserex is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. It's part of the Nyon district. This charming place is known for its peaceful setting and beautiful views.

Chéserex was first mentioned in old records between the years 1001 and 1025. Back then, it was called Chiseras. This shows it has a long history!

Chéserex covers an area of about 10.6 square kilometers (about 4.1 square miles). A big part of this land, almost half, is covered by forests. About a third of the land is used for farming. The rest has buildings, roads, or is unproductive.
The town is nestled at the foot of the Jura Mountains. It includes the main village of Chéserex, the historic Bonmont Abbey, and a small settlement called La Florettaz. Until 2006, Chéserex was part of the old Nyon District. Now, it's part of the newer Nyon district.
