Borex is a small town, also called a municipality, located in Switzerland. It is part of the Nyon area in the canton of Vaud.

What is the History of Borex?
Borex was first mentioned in official records way back in 1213. At that time, it was known as Borrai.
Where is Borex Located?
Borex covers an area of about 2 square kilometers (which is about 0.77 square miles). A large part of this land, about 76%, is used for farming. Only a small portion, around 1.5%, is covered by forests. The rest of the land, about 20%, has buildings and roads.
Most of the built-up area, about 15%, is for houses and other buildings. Roads and other ways to get around make up about 4.5%. All the forested land in Borex is covered with thick forests. For farming, about 62% of the land grows crops. A smaller part, 2%, is used for pastures where animals graze. About 11% is used for growing fruits or grapes for wine.
Borex is located at the bottom of the Jura Mountains. It is also very close to the border with France.
